Old Ottawa City Hall – from the East. Addition designed by Moshe Safdie Architects, USA and Murray & Murray Architects, Ottawa – and opened in 1992. Original City Hall Building is the eight floor building in the rear on Sussex Drive, designed by Rother, Bland and Trudeau Architects, and opened in 1958, when it won a Massey medal. Renamed the John. G. Diefenbaker Building after Government of Canada purchased it in 2003 and is now used by Global Affairs Canada a Department of the Federal government.
