Paterson Hall is located on the Carleton University campus and is one of the oldest buildings on the university's grounds being built around 1958. It was designed by Hart Massey and was named after the former senator Norman Paterson. It is located in the prominent location of the quad, which operates as a social crossroad and hub for students. The building can be identified by its curtain wall, blue-glazed brick and zig-zag wall exterior.
