Item Description

Old Ottawa City Hall, now the John. G. Diefenbaker Building of Global Affairs Canada, a Department of the Government of Canada. The image is of the unsupported circularstaircase on the ground floor. Original City Hall Building is at 111 Sussex Drive, Ottawa and was designed by Rother, Bland and Trudeau Architects, and opened in 1958, when it won a Massey medal.
