Construction of Dam in 1907

Black and white photographic reprint (c 5362) from National Archives of Canada showing view of Mississippi River during the construction of Horace Brown and Sons dam, Munro and McCuan, contractors. The Town Hall and other buidings are in the background. Pattersons Furniture Store is visible to the right of Town Hall. Hawthorne Mill is also visible to the very right. There are men standing in the river where there is no water. In the middle of the river is (what looks like) a cement mixer. There are logs all around in the river. Same as 2007.65.1.
