Description

The Carleton Place Roundhouse was first constructed in 1872 by the Canada Central, Brockville, and Ottawa railways. It operated until 1939 and was occupied by the Canadian Co-operative Wool Growers a year later in 1940. The site consists of a large, round stone building and a shop that continues to be in operation today.
