Description
Originally built as a residence for the Bytown pioneer Alexander Mutchmor in 1867, the Abbotsford House reflects significant historical value for the city of Ottawa. Mutchmor eventually sold his home in which it was repurposed to be a senior home and long-term care centre. To accommodate for its new function, renovations and additions where made to the original structure to allow for more space.
