Aerial view of the Old Ottawa City Hall, now the John. G. Diefenbaker Building of Global Affairs Canada, a Department of the Government of Canada – from the north. The image is of the original 1958 City Hall on Green Island with the Rideau River falling into the Ottawa River over the Rideau Falls. The original City Hall Building is the eight floor building on Sussex Drive, designed by Rother, Bland and Trudeau Architects, and opened in 1958, when it won a Massey medal.
