Carleton Place Town Hall

A black and white photograph of the town hall in Carleton Place. The picture is taken of the North-West corner of the town hall. Part of the bridge railing can be seen. A sign for Taylor's Hardware can be seen in the farright of the photograph.

Citizen's Band

Black and white reprint of a photograph of the Carleton Place Citizens' Band. The band consists of 26 boys and men, all in uniform. "Top Hats"

Reprint of a black and white photograph of the band the Top Hats. The photograph shows the members of the band playing their instruments on the stage of the Town Hall in Carleton Place before it was renovated. The photograph shows Art Drader (trumpet), Jack Peckett (sax), Cam Hughes (piano), and Howie Peckett (drums).

Black and white photograph mounted on beige mat. A portrait of the Grand Lodge. The men are situated on the front steps of the Carleton Place Town Hall. . The men are all wearing suits and are all wearing hats. One man who is front and center is seated upon a stool. Some of the men also have medals over there breast pocket. Caption at the bottom of the photograph reads "Carleton Place Grand Lodge L.O.Y.B.A. May XXV".

Black and white photograph of The Carleton Place Citizens Band. They are lined up on the side steps of the town hall. Each member is holding his instrument and dressed in uniform. They are lined up in four rows. Bass drum is front row centre. Signature of E.V Godwin is in the bottom right corner. Reprint.

Men's Canoe, 1905

A picture of 15 men in a war canoe, 1905. The men are wearing sleevelss uniforms with two stripes across the chest and waist. The man at the back is wearing a hat. Their paddles are at the ready. In the background are the bridge and Town Hall. On the left side of the river are Findlay buildings. There are also buildings that are on Bridge Street. National Archives number C 29322. View From Railway Bridge c.1905

Black and white reprint of large panorama photograph taken from railway bridge across Mississippi River in Carleton Place circa 1905. Photograph features photographer standing on bridge, the Methodist Church, Boulton-Brown Grist Mill, the Town Hall, Gillies and McLaren Saw Mill (Canada Lumber Company), and a large elm tree. Photograph also shows how water in river was diverted for the mills. Original is found at National Archives C-001343.
