Paterson Hall is located on the Carleton University campus and is one of the oldest buildings on the university's grounds being built around 1958. It was designed by Hart Massey and was named after the former senator Norman Paterson.

The Dominion-Chalmers United Church located in downtown Ottawa, is a merger church of the Methodists and Presbyterians who were both very active Protestants within the Bytown pioneer society.
